Whether you are in public, private, not-for-profit, government, or retired – everyone has goals they want to achieve and achieve faster! Strategic planning doesn’t have to be a dreaded chore – if you make it simple and straight-forward. This course will discuss the qualities of strategic thinking and strategic positioning. We will describe several methods for creating a strategic plan including Keep/Stop/Start, Backcasting, and One-Page Planning. We will practice defining your ideal customer, identifying opportunities and threats, conduct a competitive analysis, and defining your unique value proposition.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Differentiate your organization and develop market niches
- Identify strategic objectives for the next 3 years
- Complete a one-page strategic plan that connects your mission to objectives to specific goals and defines key measurements
