You need to have the critical skills to be a trusted business advisor to your customers, management team, and employees. We will explore the definition and characteristics of strategic leadership. We will review 30+ skills you did not learn in your accounting degree to enhance: your ability to lead teams, your interactions with other departments, and your strategic role in your organization. These strategic roles will help transform from a technically talented to strategically savvy CPA, a value-adding resource within your organization.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Define what it means to be a strategic leader
- Evaluate your current strengths and identify areas for development
- Describe the characteristics of trusted business advisors
- Identify specific techniques to connect with, present to, and influence others

Jennifer Elder, CPA, CMA, CIA, CFF, is the president and founder of The Sustainable CFO. She has a background in accounting and finance that spans more than 25 years.
