On June 11, 2025 FTB reports it is experiencing technical issues that may impact some of its online services. The issues also affect information it can provide over the phone.

If you or your clients need to make an online payment by June 16, use the version of Web Pay that does not require you to log into MyFTB. This version of Web Pay accepts payment types from both personal income taxpayers and business entities.

As a reminder, qualified entities that would like to elect to pay the pass-through entity elective tax must meet the statutory deadline and make the first payment by June 16, 2025. Taxpayers subject to the mandatory e-pay penalty must make their pass-through entity elective tax payment electronically. Taxpayers may use Web Pay or Electronic Funds Withdrawal through e-file software.

Please also be advised FTB announce this week that its Santa Ana and Los Angeles field offices are temporarily closed, and as such, walk-in payment services in these offices is not available.

You may also use FTB’s general chat or search on Franchise Tax Board Homepage for non-confidential tax questions.
