Western CPE was founded in Missoula, Montana, in 1991, with a focus on continuing education for accounting and financial professionals. Our early programs brought professionals together for live learning in resort settings, combining technical instruction with the opportunity to connect with colleagues and step away from the demands of daily practice.

Over the following decades, we expanded the ways professionals could learn with us. We began building out our digital CPE catalog in the late 90s, adding Webcasts and Self-Study to our range of education options. Today, we’re based in Bozeman, Montana, and serves individual professionals, accounting firms, and corporate teams across the country.
