Course Description

The Employee Retention Credit (ERC) was created under the CARES Act with the purpose of providing an incentive to employers who kept their employees on payroll during the COVID-19 pandemic. Fast forward four years later, and excessive numbers of fraudulent ERC claims has led the IRS to place a moratorium on processing claims and to implement the ERC Voluntary Disclosure Program (ERC-VDP).

This webinar provides an overview of the evolution of the ERC from the CARES Act, Taxpayer Certainty and Disaster Relief Act of 2020 (TCDRA), and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), to its early termination under the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and provides an update on where we are now.
