Course Description

The emergence major macro- and micro-economic issues are having an impact on an organization’s costs, competitiveness, and the ability to survive under all risk considerations. The combined impact of fiscal and monetary policy on financing for organizations are causing CFO/Controllers to understand the impact of decisions well outside their control in order to survive and grow. This course provides guidance to the financial executive in dealing with the financial and economic issues of these volatile financial markets that the global economy is currently experiencing. Useful tools will be explored to deal with these macro-economic forces for the CFO/Controller.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Analyze the impact on an organization of current economic trends to include employment, deficits, unfunded liabilities, municipal debt, interest rates, and an aging U. S. population will be explored; and
  • Analyze the impact of a critical risks and systems on risk management programs, employment, supply chain and survivability.
