2026 Virginia Approved Yellow Book Ethics provides a focused review of the ethical principles, independence requirements, and professional judgment standards that underpin Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS). Participants in this Virginia Yellow Book ethics course will examine the public-interest foundation of Yellow Book, the conceptual framework for evaluating independence threats, and the distinctions between audit and nonaudit services, including the documentation and client oversight required to preserve independence.
The Yellow Book ethics CPE course covers prohibited nonaudit services, safeguards, reevaluation of threats, post-reporting independence issues, and current Yellow Book quality management and CPE requirements. Designed for accountants and auditors working in governmental or federally influenced engagements, this webcast helps Virginia CPAs strengthen their understanding of ethics compliance in a Yellow Book environment.
