Course Description

This course provides a practical review of K-1 reporting and its role in pass-through taxation for partnerships, S Corporations, estates, and trusts. Participants will examine how K-1 information flows to the individual return and how tax professionals should approach common reporting and compliance issues. The course focuses on basis, at-risk, passive activity, and material participation rules, along with the interaction between K-1 reporting and the Qualified Business Income deduction. Practical examples help participants apply these concepts to common return preparation and review situations.
