Elizabeth Mitchel Abernethy, CPA

Elizabeth Abernethy is a Certified Public Accountant with over 20 years of experience in accounting, financial management, and business consulting. She currently serves as Executive Vice President of Finance, HR, and Learning at Western CPE LLC in Bozeman, Montana, where she is part of the executive team guiding critical business decisions, overseeing HR for a 23–40 person staff, and leading financial operations. She is also the owner of EZ Accounting Department Inc. in Ennis, Montana, providing tax planning, business start-up support, payroll, and remote controller services to individual and business clients.

Elizabeth’s career spans roles as Controller and CPA at firms including Kirsch, Kohn & Bridge LLP, Superior Moulding, Merchants Bancard Network, and Solomon Ross Grey & Co., where she managed accounting departments, conducted financial audits and reviews under GAAP, and prepared tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, and corporations. She is licensed as a CPA in both Montana (2019–present) and California (2009–2019), and holds a BBA in Accounting from Augusta State University.
