The goal of this course is to provide the overall revenue recognition principles outlined in ASC 606 while also addressing some of the more specific media and entertainment considerations. Even though all of the existing guidance for revenue recognition for media and entertainment has been superseded, there are still specific elements within the overall revenue recognition standards that may impact media and entertainment entities more significantly.

- Recognize the considerations involved in identifying whether a contract exists
- Identify the considerations involved with measuring the transaction price
- Recognize the steps involved in allocating the transaction price to performance obligations
