Course Description
Western CPE’s Tax Update courses have been an industry staple for over 30 years. We’ll do a deep dive on everything that’s happening in the world of tax legislation that affects both individual and business returns. This is the most in-depth and engaging tax update course in the profession—often imitated, never duplicated.
In Critical Issues Impacting Individuals: Part 1, we’ll focus on critical topics affecting individual tax returns. These are expected to include—but are not limited to—the following:
• New Form 15620 for 83(b) election
• New Social Security identity verification requirements
• Inflation adjustment amounts
• What to know about the Disaster Relief Act of 2023
• Disaster relief for residents in multiple states
• Updates to the foreign earned income exclusion and foreign housing exclusion
• Much, much more
Other tax update courses are shorter, less in-depth, and designed for beginners. Western’s tax update courses are for tax professionals who expect more.
