A Surreal Landscape, Where Oak Forests Give Way to Expansive Beaches

St. Simons Island displays a surreal landscape, where inland oak forests draped in Spanish moss give way to expansive beaches and the open sea. But those are just a couple of the reasons why it's regularly ranked as one of America's favorite beach towns. The island is rich with history, with many of its important sites preserved and open to the public. Eighteenth-century battle sites and plantations, archaic 200-plus-year-old churches, and colonial forts are just a few of the well-preserved historic attractions on the island. The island is also a wonder for outdoor enthusiasts. It features multiple, perfectly manicured golf courses, nature walks, biking trails, and excellent offshore fishing. In the small city that bears the island's name, you'll find galleries, shopping, and dining, all of which feature the island's unique style and history.

I was surprised how dynamic the instructors were, and the twist they were able to put not the subject matter to keep my interest. I will definitely be making Western CPE my in-person conference CPE vendor of choice in the future.

Several times, the crew will hoist up nets holding an incredible array of marine life. You can assist the marine biologists on board as they sort out the shrimp and return everything else to the sea, including sand sharks, horseshoe crabs, pufferfishes, and amberjacks. Best of all, the first mate will prepare a Low Country-boil dinner for everyone on board for an all-you-can eat feast!

Price includes shrimping cruise, Low Country-boil dinner, gratuity, and tax. Transportation is an additional $15.00.
