West Yellowstone is a wonderland for sightseeing, wildlife viewing, and outdoor adventures

Surrounded on all sides by Yellowstone National Park and the Gallatin National Forest, West Yellowstone is a wonderland for sightseeing, wildlife viewing, and outdoor adventures. The West Entrance of the park provides easy access to the geologic features and biodiversity that make the world’s first national park a national treasure. From your hotel or while strolling through town, elk, moose, and bison are a common sight. From West Yellowstone, you can choose your own adventure. Drive through the park and stop at Old Faithful, Mammoth Hot Springs, and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. If you want to get away from the crowds, any excursion off the main roads will afford you privacy in an environment unparalleled on Earth. Or book a guided trip for wildlife viewing, fly fishing, an outdoor cookout, or horseback riding. When it comes to outdoor activities, all of which put you in stunningly beautiful natural settings, there are a lifetime of opportunities to explore here.
