Park City mixes high-end culture and fashion with the laid back vibe of a ski town

With a thriving downtown full of stylish boutiques and fine dining options, Park City mixes high-end culture and fashion with the laid back vibe of a ski town. Downtown, you’ll find a vast array of shopping options—ranging from couture to local crafts—with dining choices from five-star to local pubs. The city is also home to an expansive contemporary art scene and an exciting summer concert series. If your style is more outdoor recreation than high-end couture, you won’t be disappointed either. The host location of the 2002 Winter Olympics is also home to challenging golf courses, hot air ballooning, horseback riding, and excellent fly fishing—all found within close proximity to the city. Whether you’re looking for an upscale metropolitan experience or outdoor adventure, the best place to start is at the Hotel Park City.

Olympic Park and Museum Tour

Monday, July 10, 2017

1:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m. | $15.00

Olympic Park

Park City was one of the busiest venues at the 2002 Olympics, playing host to ski jumping, Nordic skiing events, bobsled, skeleton, and luge events. Visitors today can enjoy in-depth tours of the competition sites, including the world's highest altitude ski jumps and the fastest sliding track. The site also serves as a training center for ski jumpers and freestyle aerialists who practice high-flying moves and safe landings in the park's training pool. The tour includes a visit to the Alf Engen Ski Museum, which houses an interesting array of interactive displays about skiing and Utah’s legendary winter season. You can test your skills when you “Ski Like an Olympian,” on an interactive downhill or slalom course.

Price includes: Guided bus tour at the Olympic Park and museum entrance. *Transportation from hotel to park and museum not included.

Park City Food Tour

Tuesday, July 11, 2017

1:30 p.m.–5:30 p.m. | $60.00

Food Tour

History and incredible culinary offerings come together on our Park City Food Tour. As we stroll down the hill along Main Street, we’ll duck into several of Park City’s notable eateries. In the late 1800s, seekers originally ventured to Park City in search of silver riches. Eventually, the lively mining town yielded to skiing, thanks to an abundance of excellent snow, and entrepreneurs have opened high-quality restaurants, galleries, and boutiques in this small mountain town. Visitors are surprised at the variety of cuisines and talented chefs who offer everything from casual dining to gourmet fare.

We will meet downtown for foodie and walking tour. Price includes: Guided tour, tastings, tax and gratuity.

Dinner at High West Saloon

Wednesday, July 12, 2017

5:45 p.m.–7:30 p.m. | Participants pay the restaurant directly

High West Saloon began with humble roots, opening a small, 250-gallon still and saloon in a historic livery stable and garage. What was once a small operation in downtown Park City has grown to be an internationally-recognized brand with four unique locations. In 2015, High West Saloon opened their distillery in Wanship, Utah, which acts as a space for educational whiskey tasting, pairings, and tours and houses a 1600-gallon copper pot still. Meanwhile, the saloon continues to operate as a must-visit gastro-distillery, featuring alpine-inspired western fare alongside the original still. The Nelson Cottage offers unique whiskey-paired dinners, and the Saloon at the Salt Lake City airport allows for some last tastes of High West Saloon on the way out of town.

Transportation to restaurant not included. We will meet there.

Cabaret at the Egyptian Theater

Thursday, July 13, 2017

7:30 p.m.–10:30 p.m. | $75.00

Egyptian Theater

Set in post-World War I Berlin, an American cabaret singer performs at the raucous Kit Kat Klub where she befriends a Cambridge University student. While their relationship develops inside the club, the Nazis are rising to power outside. Featuring hit songs “Cabaret,” “Maybe This Time,” and “Don’t Tell Mama.” Recommended for 14+ for mature themes and risqué costumes and dancing.

Transportation to the theater not included. We will meet there.
