Course Description
The payroll department has historically been burdened with a vast amount of incoming paperwork that it must organize and correct, and which it eventually converts into payments to employees. This activity is inefficient and error-prone, and places unreasonable burdens on the department.

This course highlights the problems faced by the payroll department, and explains how to modify the payroll function to operate in a more streamlined manner. This analysis includes the data collection, payroll processing, and employee payment areas, as well as the key decisions make and pitfalls to avoid.
