Course Description
This course is designed to assist the financial officers of a firm in streamlining operations and focusing all efforts toward satisfying customer demands through target costing. The course provides a clear understanding of the principles of going lean, shows how to evaluate the impact of going lean on operations and strategy, and demonstrates how to develop a logical and achievable implementation program for going lean. Additionally, the course includes a detailed operational implementation methodology.

    • Explain the major concepts of lean and apply them to various business models.
  • Section 2
    • Differentiate between cost pools and cost drivers in assessing costs according to the principles of activity-based costing.
    • Distinguish between value-added and non-value added activities in the application of lean principles.
    • Assess process flaws in utilizing activity based costing and apply lean principles based on this assessment.
