Course Description
This course will delve deeply into the actual standards and government guidance practitioners use to determine the correct measurement and recognition under GAAP. Discussion and case studies will be used to enhance the learning experience. You'll come away with a clearer understanding of the differences in recognizing the correct classification of receipts. Multiple examples will be reviewed to demonstrate the differences between exchange transactions, grants, contributions, and other sources. This course is a MUST for all NFP accountants and auditors.

    • Determine if a company is a not-for-profit by its characteristics.
    • Determine what transactions are considered contributions.
