Prerequisite: An intermediate knowledge of Excel is expected. You need to have an understanding of absolute cell references and range names as well as a basic understanding of functions. You need to be able to open, find and save files.

Course Description
This course shows you how to manage data more effectively using Excel lookup functions. The manual overviews what a lookup function does and covers three different lookup functions in detail. The course also overviews the Lookup Wizard, which will help you write formulas and easily retrieve a value from a worksheet. For the Vlookup and Index Match functions, practice exercises walk through all the steps for using these functions in great detail. Next, you do the exercise with more general steps and less help. The third exercise is on your own with a few hints. This three-step process helps you work up to the ability to perform the function independently, and each exercise has an answer file so that you can compare your results.
