Step-by-step instructions and practice exercises help you understand how to apply the given tip or tool to your own work. This fundamental course covers everything you need to know about creating charts in Excel 2007, including:
  • Creating Range Names in a SERIES formula
  • Using OFFSET and COUNT functions for charting purposes
  • Self-Expanding Charts
  • Displaying the last x number of data points
  • Selecting a beginning and ending point for a data series
  • Creating and using Spinners
  • Linking a Chart Title to a Cell

Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:
  • Gain an understanding as to what the SERIES formula is and how to apply range names to it.
  • Gain a basic understanding of the OFFSET function as well as the COUNTA function.
  • Edit a chart so that it will automatically update as new data is entered into the worksheet.
  • Learn how to have an Excel chart only display the last specified number of data points. For example You may have 24 months of sales data but only want to display the last 12 months.
  • Set up the chart so that only the last 4 data points display.
  • Create a chart where the chart’s beginning and ending point is controlled by the user.
