Creating Win-Win Outcomes: Essential Facilitation & Negotiation Skills

The ability to facilitate agreements requires knowing when to negotiate and when to guide. As a professional whose job requires that you lead other people in making decisions, you must understand how the two skills complement each other so that clients make choices that are in their best interests. In this skills-practice workshop, you'll hone your ability to use both negotiating and facilitating skills to get a "Yes."

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of what negotiating and facilitation skills are.
  • Apply techniques that will make you comfortable with facilitating and that will get you the buy-in.

  • Recognize the appropriate skills and techniques to use in selling your ideas.
  • Apply techniques to move people quickly through the four stages of change.
  • Identify processes to help people determine the best outcome or solution.
  • Design your own strategy for improving service to your clients—internal or external.
  • Identify what it takes to create and measure win-win outcomes and agreements.
  • Adopt a powerful client-needs assessment format.
  • Define the buy-in process and how to use it.
