Communicating Financial Information to Non-CPAs

The ability to communicate technical financial information to non-CPAs, to persuade them to respond, and to possibly change their behavior are skills that will be learned in this program. Whether CPAs are communicating with owners, management, operations managers, board members, bankers, or other non-CPAs, the art of communicating technical data is a necessary requirement in today's work environment. Sometimes that communication takes place one-to-one; sometimes it takes place before a larger audience.

This seminar will examine a variety of techniques for improving your communication skills, presentation skills, and listening skills. You'll learn three basic learning styles that individuals possess and how to design information so each individual will understand the data being communicated to them based on those learning styles. Also addressed will be the inevitable problems that arise when change is required and conflicts that ultimately result from such change. Conflict resolution skills are extremely useful to help solve these issues.
